blount, how does it fit into the political equal when you see foreign countries making cars in the u.s. how much between a rock and a hard place do you think president obama is there and how much -- is that important at all? >> well, actually, if you want to encourage foreign direct investment in the united states, you ought to be concerned about this. obviously the appropriately valued yen can cause them to place production where their sales occur, like in the united states and other markets. you ought to be concerned if you want to see that sort of foreign direct investment to continue. certainly it has an impact. they're exporting half of their product. that's not a sustainable model unless you do so at the expense of other nations. >> what is an appropriately valued yen? >> well, it should be set by the marketplace. and it shouldn't be set by these efforts to devalue it. really to get a trade advantage, which is what's occurring today. >> okay. governor, we're going to leave it there. appreciate your time. fascinating topic. governor blount. >> i would just say, he's certainly nami
